Phyllis Reynolds Naylor
Today we are going to be talking with Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. Phyllis is one of the most celebrated children’s authors – even winning the Newbery Award – the Oscar of children’s books for “Shiloh” a boy and his dog story with questions of responsibility, doing the right thing and even civil disobedience.

Phyllis has just finished writing a fantastic book called “Going Where It’s Dark.” A book that I just realized is not coming out until January of 2016. Well, I read the entire book yesterday with its look at a boy’s struggle with stuttering, bullying and I hope I am using this word correctly spelunking. It is another Naylor classic with so many ideas and concepts brought up - as well as being a great story that I can only imagine the journey that this book will take.
