Clare Vanderpool

Today we are going to be talking with Clare Vanderpool. Clare literally burst into the higher echelon of kidlit authors in 2011 with an amazing Newbery win for her first published book entitled, ‘Moon Over Manifest.” Then, in 2014 her 2nd book “Navigating Early” won a Printz Honor book. One thing that makes Clare’s books special is the way she is able to bring large concepts into her books – where is my place in life? or what is my purpose on the planet? and seamlessly weave these large concepts within the story she is telling.
