Description

“Rain Reign” is Ann’s newest, award winning book. This hauntingly beautiful book talks about the strong bond between an Elementary School girl with Asperger’s disease, her dog and what goes on in her life; ultimately dealing with questions about what is right and what is wrong. The book won the 2015 Schneider Family Book Award, an award given by the American Library Association to honor an author or illustrator for a book that embodies an artistic expression of the disability experience for children and adolescent audiences.

There was actually a very personal reason behind my wanting to get Ann to talk about this particular book. But we’ll get to that. We’ll also talk about some of her other work, her charity and a few personal items on this podcast.
